Local Leadership

The Southeastern WI (SEWTU) Chapter of Trout Unlimited is an all-volunteer conservation nonprofit working to care for and recover rivers and streams and the trout, salmon and steelhead that call them home. Working with TU staff and community partners, we bring people together to make our trout and salmon fisheries stronger, our water cleaner and our communities healthier. Join us and be a champion for your rivers and streams.

If you have the interest and time to make a deeper commitment to our local conservation and education work, we’d welcome you on the board or one of our many committees. To get started, connect with a Southeastern WI (SEWTU) board member at one of our monthly gatherings or coming events, or contact us to learn more.

PRESIDENT
Brian Mullins

I’m a Milwaukee area native and have been a member of the Southeast Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited for twenty-five years.  For the past five years, I have served on the board as chair of the advocacy committee and vice president and am honored to serve as president starting in 2026.  My day job is working as a state public defender.   The highlight of my year is a fishing trip with my dad that we have made annually for forty years and has taken us to beautiful trout streams around the country.  In addition to fishing, I enjoy reading history books, following the Brewers, gardening, and spending time with family.

During my term as president, we will continue educating our members and the public about the sport of fly fishing while conserving and helping to bring back to life the surprising number of trout streams in southeast Wisconsin.  I would like to hear from our members about what we do well and what we can do better and can be reached at brianmullins1213@gmail.com.
