Upcoming Chapter Events! Bluff Creek Stream Event April 20th! Chapter Meeting April 23rd!

Multiple Events with TU in April of 2024!

April 20th, Work day at Bluff Creek

First workday of the year -  Saturday April 20th !

The first workday of 2024 will be at Bluff Creek on Saturday, April 20th from 9:00 am until noon.  Bluff Creek is located in Walworth county just southeast of Whitewater, WI.

The Southeast Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited (SEWTU) will partner with Oakbrook, IL TU (OBTU) to plant trees and some shrubs at specific areas/locations along the creek.  These are bare roots trees and not very big but there are substantial number of them. SEWTU and OBTU have been working on this coldwater stream for a number of years and it has developed into a good fishery.

Workers should bring shovels, safety glasseswork gloves, and a chair for afterwards. Waders generally will not be needed but I would throw them in your vehicle in case we need to enter the stream. If we get a lot of workers or if the work get done quickly we can always pull invasives out of the stream.

Per usual our traditional Brat Fry will follow around noon.  RSVP Ken Rizzo at riz2337@yahoo.com if plan to attend so we can plan work teams and purchase the appropriate number of bratwurst.

Directions from Milwaukee:
From the Milwaukee Metro area take I-43 southwest then take exit 38 for WI-20 toward East Troy. Follow WI-20 west (9.5 miles) and then west  US-12 (6.1 miles) to Reliance Rd. Turn left onto Reliance Rd and follow for 0.8 miles. Turn left onto County Highway P. Destination will be on the right.
