About

The Southeast Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited is a group of conservation minded individuals, of all ages, political beliefs, and genders, dedicated to protecting and improving Wisconsin’s cold water systems and species.

Our membership ranges, at any time, from between 650 to 800 members. Due to our large membership, there are limitless opportunities to become involved in our Chapter.

In order to accomplish our mission, we participate in conservation education activities, stream and riparian restoration efforts, and group fundraising and recreational activities.  Although many of our efforts are centered around the protection of trout and salmon populations, we are by no means “trout-centric.”   SEWTU is dedicated to all cold water system inhabitants, and to protecting our home streams, such as the Milwaukee River and its tributaries.

Anyone interested in experiencing what SEWTU is about is welcome to participate in one of our many ongoing activities, or to stop by one of our general membership meetings.  Times and locations of upcoming events can be found on the Message Board of this website.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a better bunch of individuals than those who comprise the rank and file of SEWTU.  Friendly faces, kind words, and good fishing stories — some are even ocassionally true — welcome all comers.
