Saturday 5/14 - Paradise Springs Workday

9:00 AM -12PM W374 S8640, County Rd N, Eagle, WI 53119Our first workday in 2022 on a cold water resource is planned for Saturday, May 14 at Paradise Springs. The SEWTU veterans group will be joining us that day to help.  We will be cutting and moving brush adjacent to the Paradise River which originates at the dam. Additionally, new SEWTU signage will be installed that day.  Volunteers need to bring work gloves, safety glasses, and loppers. Please bring waders if you intend to work in the water. The workday will start at 9:00 am and continue until noon. Our traditional brat fry will follow. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce new and prospective members to a workday. Access is easy and close to the parking lot.   Rumors are from a very reliable source that fishing the spring pond will be excellent that day. You are encouraged to bring a rod and have some fishing fun after the work is completed. The specific address for your map application is Paradise Springs Nature Trail, W374 S8640, County Rd N, Eagle, WI 53119. Otherwise drive to Eagle, Wisconsin.  Head west on State Highway 59 out of Eagle for 0.9 miles. Turn right onto County Highway N heading north for 0.4 miles. The destination will be on your right. .NEW for 2022: Workday RaffleWhen you attend a SEWTU workday in 2022 you will be automatically be entered into a raffle for at least 3 prizes at the end of the year! For each additional workday, you attend you will receive an additional chance (raffle ticket) in the raffle. Documentation for your workday attendance is shown by your signature on the signed waiver workday sheets.Nobody will be allowed to purchase tickets for this raffle. It's only for our workday volunteers. The drawing will take place at the December Holiday Chapter meeting. You do not need to be present at that meeting to win.
