TU CARES started with the idea of funding and managing the Central Sand Hills Ecoregion in a manner similar to the Driftless Area’s TU DARE. Due to the lack of state funding to both maintain previous stream restoration sites and proceed with new restoration efforts, previous sites were allowed to deteriorate in favor of new restoration efforts. The group agreed that additional sources of funding would be required to develop and maintain the Central Sand Hills cold water resources in the manner of the Driftless Area and have adopted the name TU CARES for the comprehensive project.

The meeting we again be at the Thunder Bay Grille in Pewaukee. Our meeting will kickoff at 7pm with general updates followed by the TU Cares presentation. 

As always members are encouraged to come early (starting at 5:30 pm) for food, drinks, and sharing of fish stories with their fellow TU members. Guests are always welcome as well as non members.  

This year the Thunder Bay Grille will be offering us a limited menu for the meeting. Special requests from the full menu can be accommodated if necessary on a limited basis but we do need the majority of members who plan to order a meal to choose one of the options below:

• Certified  Angus Beef Top Sirloin with Baked Potato 
• Chicken Tasso Mac and Cheese 
• Certified Angus Beef Burger 
• Self Serve Salad Bar with over 30 items including soup
