Project Healing Waters

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Milwaukee is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active duty military personnel and veterans through fly fishing, fly tying education, and outings.

Over 100 programs nationwide are administered locally by TU chapters and local fishing clubs.

PHWFF Milwaukee is sponsored by SEWTU and hosted by the Zablocki VA Medical Center.

The program offers veterans at the VA Medical Center an opportunity to learn the basic skills of fly fishing and fly tying in a relaxed, group atmosphere.

Check out their Facebook page for lots of photos of their outings and the amazing flies they learn to tie.

In July of 2014, their outing to the trout ponds of Rushing Waters was featured on the national PHW website.
