2017
We started 2017 with our yearly spring clean-up. As always this is a family friendly workday where anyone of any physical ability can contribute. The next weekend we traveled North to Nichols Creek to work with Lakeshore TU to remove log jams.
In May we partnered with Lakeshore TU. In June we returned to Tainter with a focus of brushing back Willows from the creek to slow down the beavers. In July we traveled West to partner with Blackhawk TU, Southern TU, Lakeshore TU, and the WI DNR Trout Team to work on the Sugar River (Extremely large structures!). The rest of the year we worked in our own territory improving home waters that had a focus on our DNR adopted stream Bluff Creek in Walworth County.
In total we contributed 420 man hours (not counting driving) to restoring streams in Wisconsin.
