Under the leadership of Board of Director member John Knitter, SEWTU participated in the Milwaukee Riverkeeper annual spring river cleanup, manning a station at Milwaukee's Estabrook Park.  

Numerous volunteers attended, removing a significant amount of debris from the stream.  Debris removed included everything and anything, from metal to toilets to tires.  

The day was a success, with a literal pile of garbage removed from the stream, and countless SEWTU members brought on board to aid one of our best local streams.
